2011 Engineering Final Project: Unmanned Ground Vehicle

This is a project from year 2011 that I completed for my BSEE Final Project. An Unmanned Ground Vehicle with manual and autonomous modes that is designed to find green balloons (image processing) and shoot them with the laser on its turret. Those years IoT Development Boards were fairly new, and Arduino so. So I would not be able to embed a strong processor on the robot itself to process image for object recognition. Hence, I used a wireless camera to be received by my laptop to do the image processing and wirelessly control the UGV communicating with XBee wireless connectivity modules. I used RoboRealm software to do the color and shape filtration. I always wanted to build an unmanned vehicle and as a final project I implemented many systems together. Because, the biggest challenge was 3 months timeline to complete the project, limited resources and limited knowledge. So creativity would be the best tool for solving the problems. But could not prevent the gained weights.
